   Choosing your cake
The main focus of most receptions (apart from the bride of course) is the wedding cake. Cutting the cake is an important tradition and an even more important lasting photo opportunity. So choosing the perfect cake for you is something you should not consider lightly.
Size of the cake:
This depends on the number of guests you are inviting and also the size of the portions you wish to serve. Are you serving the cake with coffee after dessert, or will the cake be the only dessert?
Flavour:
While important that the cake appeals visually, you will of course want the cake to taste as divine as it looks!!! Most people forgo the traditional fruit cake and choose ever popular chocolate cake. Remember if you are having more than one tier, you can choose several different flavours and be sure to satisfy every different craving your guests may have!!
How soon do I need to order my cake?
We usually book 2-3 months before your wedding. We have some cakes ordered up to 2 years in advance!! November through to April fill quickly, so it's best to order as early as you can for these months. A 50% deposit will put you on our calendar. The balance is due one week before your wedding. |
